Raptoreum launched on February 26th 2021, the launch was fair, no pre-mine or ICO. The first 720 blocks had a reward of just 4 RTM. Here is a list of events and achievements from mainnet launch until April 15th 2021.
- March 4th we listed on SafeTrade exchange with both BTC and LTC pairs. Also on this date we announced that Smartnode rewards were delayed due to the speed at which the first 10 Smartnodes were setup ahead of our hardcoded limit (height 5761). These first 10 Smartnodes were compensated by our team using the developers fee.
- March 6th we released an update to fix and issue with Smartnode rewards not being enforced on pools. This was a hard fork and went smoothly. There were a couple of pools that took advantage of this, we rewarded those that did not, using the developer fee.
- March 8th the network broke 2MH/s for the first time, nearly 300% increase from the previous week. (Raptoreum is CPU only).
- March 11th Binarai launched Raptoreum Trivia on Discord, which has since grown explosively and is a blast just too watch.
- March 13th The Raptoreum Shop opened and began offering the worlds first and only hand forged Damascus blockchain keyrings.
- March 15th we launched our new website and roadmap. Big thank you to Binarai for the help with it!
- March 17th we listed on CoinGecko.
- March 18th we were listed on Autradex.
- March 19th we are added to Live Coin Watch. Also on this date Angainor (Discord) released VelociRaptor a paper wallet for the Raptoreum community. (thanks Angainor!)
- March 20th X76 started breathing life back into our Reddit. (thanks X76!)
- March 23rd oobob (Discord) released the first RTM Faucet (thanks oobob!)
- March 26th Raptoreum is listed on Blockfolio.

- March 30 IOU payments were completed, over 3 million RTM were paid out for IOUs accumulated over the testnet period. IOUs were assets on the Ravencoin blockchain that we sent to those who were actively participating in our testnet over nearly 3 years.
- April 2nd DELGON (Naen) (Discord) released an ARM miner supporting our GhostRider algorithm. (thanks Delgon!)
- April 8th our first press release is published on Cryptoshib and 80+ other related news and financial sites. Also on this date Ausminers (Discord) released a highly optimized version cpuminer-gr offering 2 x+ the hash on average compared to the original miner. (thanks Ausminers!)
- April 9th we listed on SouthXchange.
- April 13th the first ever auction on Discord. Up for auction the first and only hand forged Damascus bottle opener with Raptoreum logo. Winner of the auction was Arwed [ENY] with a giant 72,000 RTM bid, grats!!
- April 14th another press release published on EIN Presswire and 80+ other related news and financial sites.
- April 16th Listing on Qtrade exchange and another press released published on Cryptoshib and 80+ other relates news and financial sites.
Active Events
Raptoreum Trivia: Monday and Thursday at 11PM BST. (hosted by Binarai, thanks man!) Prizes are Raptoreum and there is usually some rain involved 🙂

What We Are Working On
Development: Our main focus right now is developing the futures feature. This will be a special transaction type that allows anybody to “lock” RTM or assets into a block and have it released automatically at a future date or block height. In addition, this special transaction will eventually allow for on-chain escrow using other blockchains. We are working on setting up a testnet with this feature installed and we will invite the community to help us test it.
Infrastructure: Improving and optimizing our infrastructure, adding high availability with DNS failover for critical services such as the explorer.
Marketing & Promotion: We are working hard on getting Raptoreum “out there” through various channels such as press releases, listings, videos, and social media. Binarai has been doing a great job helping with this.
Community Projects: We are assisting as much as possible with community driven projects such as the upcoming RTMarena – an awesome mix of eSports and RTM which was born into this world by kai (Discord). This is going to be very interesting to watch as development continues! Also currently being developed is RaptorCraft what looks to be an awesome Minecraft mod with a Raptoreum twist, that I believe was brought into existence by cksantos85 and Rutabaga (Discord). Shared Smartnodes
Both Ocminer from suprnova mining pools and lamagra from Mining Rig Rentals are working on shared Smartnode pools which will make it easier and more affordable for anybody to take the dive into Smartnodes and start earning RTM. I believe we will be seeing at least one of these go live in the next 1-2 weeks, so watch out for those!
Mobile Wallet
We have solutions coming for this, they will likely be at some point in May.
Raptoreum’s Community Is Outstanding
Our community has developed a very solid core over the past 3 years of testing and development. Now with an amazing mainnet launch it is growing quickly, but its also maintaining “its vibe”. Our community remains fun, extremely active, friendly, and helpful. We have seen quite a few people mention “it just has a great feel” and I wholeheartedly agree! We believe we have one of the best communities in blockchain. Thank you to all of you for being awesome.
We have even managed to wake up a few dinosaurs (gonewest) who are working on a GPUminer along some young whippersnappers!
