RTM Wallet 2.0 HD Enters Private Testing: A New Desktop Wallet Experience for Raptoreum
A major new Raptoreum desktop wallet is moving through private testing.
Built by Y3TI & BIПΛЯΛI, RTM Wallet 2.0 HD is a ground-up desktop wallet project designed to give the Raptoreum community a more modern, flexible, and feature-rich way to manage RTM, HD wallets, encrypted local wallets, assets, transaction history, themes, backups, and more.
This is not just a reskin of an existing wallet.
It is a full desktop wallet experience built specifically around Raptoreum, with a focus on usability, local encryption, asset interaction, performance options, and cross-platform availability for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Private Testing Is Now Underway
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD is currently in a private testing phase before wider public release.
This stage is important. The goal is to make sure the main wallet flows are stable, the interface is usable across different machines, and the release builds behave correctly across supported operating systems.
Private testers are helping check wallet creation, imports, encrypted unlock flows, RTM balances, transaction history, asset views, asset creation, asset sending, themes, notifications, metadata handling, backup behaviour, and general performance.
This is still a test release, not the final public build.
That means bugs may still exist, and testers are being asked to use small test amounts only while feedback is gathered and fixes are made. Smartnode functionality is still pending and should be treated as coming soon rather than part of the current testing focus.
What Makes RTM Wallet 2.0 HD Different?
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD is designed to bring a more complete desktop experience to Raptoreum users.
The wallet includes support for both modern HD wallet flows and legacy wallet imports, giving users a way to create new deterministic wallets or bring existing single-address wallets into the application.
Wallets are stored locally under encryption, with user-controlled wallet passwords and backup options. The multi-wallet manager allows users to create, import, rename, unlock, back up, restore, and switch between multiple wallets from one application.
For a community that values self-custody, local control, and UTXO-based architecture, that matters.
HD and Legacy Wallet Support
One of the core upgrades is HD wallet support.
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD supports BIP39 mnemonic-based wallets with deterministic receive and change address derivation. This means users can create a mnemonic wallet and manage derived addresses in a more modern structure.
At the same time, the wallet still supports legacy private-key wallet imports, allowing existing Raptoreum users to bring older wallets into the new interface.
This dual support is important because it gives the community a transition path rather than forcing one wallet model on everyone.
Raptoreum Asset Management
A major focus of the wallet is Raptoreum assets.
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD includes asset viewing, asset details, asset creation, minting, sending, burning, hiding, unhiding, metadata previews, explorer links, and visual asset cards.
The asset library can be used in list view or tile view, giving users different ways to browse and interact with their holdings. Asset rows can show ownership status, capability information, metadata previews, balances, type, and related actions.
The asset detail modal goes deeper, showing creation transaction data, mint data, explorer links, larger previews, IPFS references, and JSON metadata where available.
For creators and collectors, the wallet also includes showcase-style sharing options so asset cards can be exported or shared outward to social platforms.
Transaction History, but More Visual
The transaction history has also been rebuilt with asset-aware rows and visual clarity in mind.
Instead of treating every transaction as a plain row of text, the wallet is designed to distinguish RTM and asset activity more clearly. Transaction fields include confirmation data, values, timestamps, transaction IDs, address tools, external explorer links, sorting, search, and CSV export for accounting or spreadsheet use.
The goal is simple: make wallet history easier to understand without taking power away from advanced users.
Themes and Low-Resource Mode
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD includes multiple visual themes:

- FudWiser Edition
- Bird Bones
The standout performance option is Bird Bones, a stripped-down low-resource mode built for older or lower-powered machines.
Bird Bones avoids expensive visual effects such as heavy animations, glow effects, blur stacks, animated thumbnails, preview media, sparkles, and other UI elements that can make older systems struggle.
For users on older laptops, low-memory systems, or machines where responsiveness matters more than visual effects, Bird Bones is designed to keep the wallet usable and lighter.
Built for a Wider Desktop Audience
RTM Wallet 2.0 HD is being built with cross-platform desktop releases in mind.
The project targets:

- macOS
- Linux
Public release builds are being prepared through GitHub release infrastructure, with installers and packaged builds available as testing progresses.
Because macOS public distribution requires Apple signing and notarization for a smooth user experience, early Mac builds may still show warnings during testing. That is part of the release-hardening process and not unusual for private test builds.
Security Notes for the Community
As with any wallet software, users should treat private keys, seed phrases, wallet files, WIFs, passwords, and backups as sensitive information.
Never share decrypted wallet material.
Keep offline backups.
Use strong, unique encryption passwords.
Do not move significant funds through test builds.
The private testing phase exists to catch issues before wider release, so caution is part of the process.

The immediate focus is testing, bug fixing, packaging, and release hardening.
